Sustainability Committee

The Sustainability Committee is an organ reporting directly to the Board of Directors, established to coordinate the Company’s sustainability-related activities. 

The Committee is chaired by an Independent Board Member, while the Vice President position is carried out by the General Manager. The Committee convenes at least two times a year to monitor and guide the Company’s progress in sustainability.

Authority and Duties of the Sustainability Committee

• Ensures the revision, monitoring, and implementation of the "Sustainability Policy" approved by the Company's Board of Directors, when deemed necessary.

• Coordinates the Company’s sustainability initiatives and evaluates the economic, environmental, and social impacts of its activities.

• Establishes and authorizes working groups from relevant departments on sustainability issues. Where necessary, obtains technical support and professional consultancy services from external parties.

• Identifies necessary measures to reduce the potential negative impacts of the Company’s activities on sustainability.

• Defines procedures and principles related to the management of energy and natural resources, monitors these processes, and makes decisions to reduce energy and natural resource consumption as well as waste. Analyzes the Company’s emission data, makes recommendations for the necessary measures, and, when deemed necessary, ensures reporting to public disclosure platforms such as Integrated Reporting, BIST, and CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project), while coordinating internal arrangements related to such reporting.

• Submits opinions and recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding the Company-wide sustainability initiatives and areas requiring improvement.
